In January 2010, Ken Schmidt the president of founder of Automated Contacts became the Partner of a group of 4 hotels in Playa del Carmen Mexico. As the VP/GM Ken manages more than 80 employees and overlooks the success of these properties. Achievements made so far include having a property hold the #1 position on TripAdvisor for 33 weeks in 2011, two properties nominated for the 2012 TripAdvisor Traveler Choice Award (Top 25 Hotel for Mexico in different categories), produce a 70% occupancy rate across 100 units and manage a company of a gross revenue of 5.6M for 2012, over 7M for 2013 and will overcome those numbers in 2014.
Then there is Matt Newhart, my partner. Starting in 2007, one of the projects of the company was upgrading an in house home grown business application for Woodlawn Cemetery and Funeral Home to a complete web application. 30 employees use this application, which manages the complete company. The basis of the application is sales force automation, customer relationship management, accounting and a virtually paperless environment.
